The GSA use a number of devices in capturing and apprehending New Mutants. Below is a list of all known devices, as well as their functions.

Sub-dermal Governors

Sub-dermal governors are small, electronic devices which are implanted on the base of the spine, and connect directly to the implanted New Mutants' DNA. They are used to control the abilities of New Mutants by administering severe pain when Mutant abilities are used. As well, they can be controlled by a remote control, usually held by Mason Eckhart, to deliver pain when the Mutant does not co-operate. They can be disabled with the remotes, but if that option is not available, a short, carefully aimed burst of electricity from an Elemental Electrical will also work well.
Note:It appears that the type of pain experienced by the New Mutant is affected by their ability. For example, Elementals appear to feel pain in their abdomen, while Psionics are subjected to severe migraines. It is unknown how Ferals or Moleculars are affected.

Governor Guns

These are used to implant the subdermal governors.

Stasis pods

Stasis pods are used to contain New Mutants apprehended by the GSA. They lower the metabolism and bodily functions of the New Mutant, effectively putting them into a form of regulated coma. The stasis pods are controlled by a central core, which administered a closely regulated stasis field. It has been determined that New Mutants placed into stasis can be revived, as in the case of Gabriel Ashlocke.

Shocking Devices

These devices are long-handled, and are used to administer large amounts of electrical energy. They can be used to either shock New Mutants, or to electrify nearby objects - for example, when capturing New Mutant Barry Sterling (Kilohertz), the GSAgents used these devices to electrify the metal barriers around them, making it impossible for Barry to go anywhere without receiving a dangerous shock.
